- Do I have to pay for my own linen/can I bring my own?
Linen hire is not included in chalets. Linen must either be hired from Pontins (£5 for single beds, £8 for doubles) or you can bring your own to the festival.
- Am I able to buy a ticket without accommodation?
We are only selling weekend tickets with accommodation.
- Are there chalets with disabled access?
Yes, however these are limited in numbers. Please contact email@example.com for more information.
- How do I get to the festival?

- What are the differences between Budget, Classic and Club chalets?
All chalets for The Funk & Soul Weekender come fully equipped with self-catering kitchen facilities, a lounge area, bathroom facilities and bed space. Moving from Budget through to Classic then Club options, the size of the chalets increases. Club chalets are the roomiest and most luxurious chalets.

- Are electricity bills included in the price of my ticket/chalet?
Pontins requires that chalets’ electricity is topped up with a pre-paid card, which you can top up throughout the weekend.
- When do I have to check in/out?
Club chalets have early check-in from 2pm on Friday. Check-in for Budget and Classic chalets open from 4pm on Friday. Check out will be at 10am on the Monday.
- When will my favourite Funk & Soul acts be on at the festival?
Music begins at 5pm on Friday and ends in the early hours of Monday morning. Music will run until 4am each day. To be the first to know exact timings, either LIKE our Facebook page or JOIN our mailing list!
- Am I able to buy just two tickets for the Soundcrash Funk & Soul Weekender?
Our smallest chalets are for four people, and this is the minimum purchase for the festival. If you would like to find people to share a chalet with, head to our Accommodation Share page. You are also still welcome to purchase a four-berth chalet and fill it with only two people.
- I haven’t received my tickets yet. How do I obtain entry?
You will bring your email confirmation of your chalet and entry to the ticket office at the festival and this will be exchanged for your wristbands and keys. Please note that the lead booker will need to be present for key/wristband collection.
- Can I pay for tickets with a number of different cards/payment methods?
Sadly not, you can only pay for the tickets in one transaction. So make sure you gather your mates together before they’re all gone!
- Is there a deposit scheme on the tickets?
We are not currently able to offer a deposit scheme on tickets.
- My friend can’t come to the festival any more. Can I bring someone else?
If you are the lead booker of a chalet and someone in your chalet can’t come, you are welcome to bring someone else instead. Naturally, once you have all collected your wristbands swapsies won’t be possible! If the lead booker of the chalet (the person who paid for the transaction) can no longer attend the festival, you will need to please email us. We will then try to help you as best as we can.
- I can’t wait for the festival – what can I get up to in the meantime?
After huge success last year, our launch party series will continue once again this year and covers locations across the country. These parties are hosted in collaboration with the best Funk, Soul & Disco party-starters in the UK. Featuring festival favourites and artists who will be playing at the festival itself. - Will there be shuttle buses running to and from the festival?
Yes, but in limited numbers. Shuttle buses will run from Rye Train Station to Pontins Camber Sands throughout Friday, on Sunday evening and Monday morning. These will be coming on sale soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
- I/we can’t come to the festival any more. What do I do? Can I get a refund?
Only the lead booker of (the person who paid for) your chalet will be able to collect your keys/wristbands. If you need to change the lead booker of your chalet due to individuals/whole groups no longer being able to attend the festival, or if the lead booker will be arriving after everyone else, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your new arrangements.

- What else will I be able to get up to during the festival in addition to all the music?
In a nutshell – loads! We’ve arranged heaps of extra fun(k) & games for you to get involved with over the weekend, including Disco Yoga, Pool Parties, & more. Check the rest out over on the activities page. As Pontins residents for the weekend, you’ll also be able to make use of the swimming pools, take a walk along the beach, or even travel out to see some of the local sites!
- Can I bring my own food & drink to the festival?
Yes! All chalets are self-catering so you are welcome to bring your own food to cook. Please note however that you cannot bring your own food into the arena/stages – keep it in your chalets please 🙂 In the arena/stages there will be plenty of additional food & drink facilities to satisfy your cravings in between acts.
- Is there free WiFi onsite?
WiFi is available onsite. The first 30 minutes used each day will be free, after which the option of paying an hourly/daily subscription will be available.
- Is there parking available onsite?
Free parking is available at Pontins, however spaces are limited and available only on a first come, first served basis. We would instead recommend travelling via public transport to Rye Train Station and using our shuttle bus service – more info on this can be found on our travel page.
